| Young actor doesnt want to hurt his jewel![]() Author: Ethel Ramos JUST asking: Is it true that the reason a young actor is reluctant to cooperate with the publicity slant that something more that meets the eye is currently going on between him and his screen partner is because he actually has a girlfriend? She is a jewel of a girl, our source intimated, so much so that he cannot bear to hurt her. He admires her for supporting and understanding him. Happily for him, his ka-love team understands, our source added. *** Karylle is not only moving on but is definitely moving forward. Yes, four months after her much-publicized break-up from her boyfriend of almost four years, Dingdong Dantes. She, however, revealed that she has no immediate plans of falling in love, unlike her ex who has insinuated that he might finally come out in the open about his true relationship with Marian Rivera. She will take her time before entering into another relationship, she said. Currently, she reportedly has two ardent suitors in Christian Bautista and Jericho Rosales. But she is too busy for love. She would rather concentrate on her career which is no doubt on the upswing. In February, she will launch her third album for Polycosmic EMI. She has three upcoming TV series on ABS-CBN, one of which is the suspense-horror "Maruja," an adaptation of the Susan Roces movie. It reportedly will also star Jericho and Kristine Hermosa. There are a number of endorsements being offered to Karylle, too. These are aside from her Bench endorsement which features her in billboards wearing undies that leave little to the imagination. Sundays, Karylle is seen with her mom Zsa Zsa Padilla in "ASAP 09." *** Talking of endorsements, Dingdong Dantes is the current endorser of the popular bakeshop Goldilocks which formerly was identified with Kris Aquino and her husband, cager James Yap. Does this mean Kris and James have ceased to be endorsers of the bakeshop? "Hindi pa naman," an insider said. "Hes a great addition to the Goldilocks family," Goldilocks marketing director Pinky Yee, said, "And he was, definitely, our unanimous choice. After all, just like Goldilocks, Dingdongs appeal transcends market segments and age groups." Dingdong revealed that he has actually been part of the Goldilocks family for as long as he can remember. "Since I was young," he attested, "every birthday or whatever special occasion in the family was not complete without a cake from Goldilocks or its other products." *** As expected, the "Legends of OPM" concert, staged last December 30 at the PICC, will have a repeat. It will be on March 6, Friday, 8 p.m., again at the PICC. "Unanimous ang clamor," said Viva Entertainment Boss Vic del Rosario. "Im glad everybody involved agreed to do a repeat." "Legends of OPM" stars Rico J. Puno, Nonoy Zuñiga, Rey Valera, Claire de la Fuente, Eva Eugenio and Joey Albert. All of them are legends in the annals of Filipino music as they have been responsible for many hit songs in the 70s and the 80s. "Word of mouth is the reason for this repeat," Boss Vic added. "Kaya those who missed the first show are eager to enjoy the legends performance." An additional treat to the audience is watching and listening to Eva doing a duet with her only daughter, Evangeline. Rico J.s only son, Rox, and expert guitarists will accompany him as he performs one of his numbers. Rey will also sing with his band, which has three of his children as members. Like in the first concert, Claire will have her two sons in the audience. The eldest, who is 22, is a promising singer. He is taking up a course in film and stage directing at the Ateneo. "My bunso naman is in high school," Claire revealed. Joey has two daughters, both studying in Canada. Nonoy is happily married, too. Source: Malaya |
