iGMA: Dingdong Dantes wants something different for his next show

Sa pagganap ni Dingdong Dantes sa papel ni Cholo, isang bagong aspeto ng kanyang pagiging aktor ang naipakita sa mga viewers ng 'Stairway to Heaven'. And while challenged by his latest role, the actor said he's looking forward to play something different again sa mga susunod niyang projects.

Mabilis ang takbo ng kuwento ng Stairway to Heaven, and though halos nasa simula pa lang ang series, lead actor Dingdong said people shouldn't be complacent sa panonood nila.

"Sobrang dami pang mangyayari...Dahil malapit nang bumalik ang -," pagbitin ni Dingdong.

Is he talking about Jodi's memories? You'll have to find out by watching Stairway to Heaven every weeknight sa GMA Telebabad. Pero, for sure, Dingdong said the scenes they've taped so far are exciting-and challenging para sa mga actors.

"Isa sa pinakamalaking challenge diyan e 'yung talagang walang tiwala si Jodi (Rhian Ramos)] at wala siyang kaalam-alam, 'di ba?" Dingdong said para sa kanya, playing a character desperately trying to make someone remember is one of the biggest challenges he's faced as an actor.

And playing the emotionally-charged Cholo is no walk in the park either.

"Parating kailangan may bago, 'di ba?" Dingdong reminded us. "And this role is indeed challenging; but okay naman. [It's] something different. Ine-enjoy ko lang."
At talagang enjoy na enjoy ni Dingdong to the fact that people are seeing a different side of his acting, kaya naman, "[for] my next show, gusto ko something different din," aniya.

Halos lahat ng kasama ni Dingdong sa Stairway to Heaven ay first time niyang makatrabaho-and he has nothing bad to say about his co-stars. Tatlo nga lang daw ang puwede niyang masabi tungkol kina Rhian, TJ Trinidad and Glaiza de Castro, which are: "Very professional, very cooperative, at saka very matakaw."

At sa mga nagtatanong kung kamustang katrabaho ang love team partner niya, Dingdong cheekily replied, "Actually kami ni Joyce [Bernal] ang love team e. Isipin mo, apat na shows na kaming magkasama."

If you're loving how the story is going now, you're bound to love it more. And, Dingdong reminded us again, hindi magde-deviate ang story ng Filipino remake sa original run ng Stairway to Heaven. He said they've kept 90% ng original story to incorporate sa remake.

And for the viewers who are constantly making the show a hit night after night, Dingdong has this to say: "Thank you for making Stairway to Heaven successful. Salamat at naniniwala kayo sa istorya. Just trust me that it will still get better."
