Alex meets a fellow wizard, T.J., who is given unlimited use of his magic abilities by his parents, which is what Alex wants from her more conservative mom and dad. Alex then sets up a meeting between the two sets of parents. T.J. charms (literally) Alex's parents, causing them to let their kids use free-willing magic. Meanwhile, Max has trouble with his school project and gets stuck on Mars.
