Sergio (Dingdong Dantes) does not believe Corazon (Manilyn Reynes) when she tells him that MariMar (Marian Rivera) is dead, Corazon insists that MariMar and her baby fell ill and died. She accompanies Sergio in Antipolo where MariMar and her baby are supposedly buried. When Corazon gets home, she resents Bella for deceiving Sergio. She tells Bella how Sergio was devastated by the news but Bella stands by her decision. Bella declines the proposal of Rodolfo (Marvin Agustin) to be his girlfriend and tells him that she does not like him. Anton (Dino Guevarra) and Arturo (Marky Lopez) advice Sergio to divert his attention to Bella since she looks like MariMar rather than blaming himself and drinking for the loss of his wife and child.
