MariMar (Marian Rivera) accepts Sergio's (Dingdong Dantes) marriage proposal. Lola Cruz (Caridad Sanchez) and Lolo Pancho (Leo Martinez), however, object to this. Renato (Richard Gomez) and Angelika (Katrina Halili) are surprised when Sergio tells them that he is getting married. Sergio takes MariMar to Villa Santibañez. MariMar is left alone when Sergio leaves to get something; Angelika arrives and reveals to MariMar that she is the latter's bestfriend whom, in her opinion, she betrayed when they were children. She sends MariMar out of the resort. Meanwhile, Lola Cruz prohibits MariMar from seeing Sergio. Sergio then goes to MariMar's house and convinces Lolo Pancho and Lola Cruz to approve their marriage. Sergio finally introduces MariMar to Renato and Angelika as his bride-to-be.
