CBS is one of the largest radio and television networks in the US. The network is sometimes referred to as the Tiffany Network, which alludes to the perceived quality of CBS programming during the tenure of its founder William S. Paley.

Today, with more than 200 television stations and affiliates reaching virtually every home in the United States, CBS is the Number One most watched network in primetime, with a total primetime network lineup that was watched by more than 100 million people each week of the 2005/2006 season. The Network has the Number One drama and Number One scripted series on television, CSI; Number One newsmagazine, 60 MINUTES; Number One sitcom, TWO AND A HALF MEN; Number One new drama, THE UNIT; Number One new sitcom, THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE; Number One daytime drama, THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS; and in 2005-2006, had four of the Top Ten most watched shows on network television, more than any other network. Its programming arms include CBS Entertainment, CBS News and CBS Sports.
