When her father, Howard Doyle, is murdered during a case investigation, Tracy Doyle, his daughter, seeks out Howard's former partner, Oscar Poole, and convinces him to help her find the killer. After accomplishing this, they become a team. The series, set in Los Angeles, relates the adventures of Oscar Poole, an aging private detective, and Tracy Doyle, his partner, a slightly wacky Jill of all trades, as they attempt to solve crimes, seldom seeing eye to eye on procedure. |
